ABIRIBA COMMUNITY: ORGAN HARVEST ALLEGATION, AUTOPSY REPORT CLEARS US BASED NIGERIAN WOMAN
The Abia State Police command has performed an autopsy on late Joseph Urum, following the allegation of the organ harvest by the family of the deceased.
The autopsy which was performed at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia on Saturday, March 29, 2025 was witnessed by representatives of the deceased family, Eze Enachioken, Abiriba Community and the accused, Mrs Onyinye Ibe.

According to inside sources who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the matter said preliminary results showed all the body organs were intact and that there was no sign of surgery on him prior to his death.
According to the source, the autopsy also showed that the late Joseph Urum had perforated intestine and there were no traces of food, which confirmed the report of the two doctors that attended to him before he died. He further stated that other results of the autopsy, histology and toxicology would be ready in three weeks.
Recall that the late Joseph Urum Nmajụ died on February 25, 2025 at a hospital in Ọnicha Mbaise, under controversial circumstances which made the family accuse his former employer, the proprietor of Do Good Farms and Piggery, a US based Nigerian woman, Onyinye Ibe of having a hand in the demise of the late Joseph.
Dream News investigated the matter and confirmed that the late Joseph was not taken to Mbaise for organ harvest rather as an attempt to save his life after Federal Medical Centre Umuahia rejected him due to insufficient bed spaces.
Further investigation by Dream News revealed that Dr Joshua Jideofor Okereke who attended to his at Abiriba General Hospital diagnosed him with perforated intestine which was confirmed by another doctor, Alex Ọhanyere at Evergreen Hospital Ọnicha Mbaise.
The preliminary autopsy report further confirmed that there were no traces of food in his intestine, which suggested that he was not eating, confirming the earlier statement made by other employees that the late Joseph was not eating the food served him.
