Campaign Staff Give Abia PDP Guber Candidate, Anosike, Surprise Birthday Party

It was a moment of joy and excitement today at the Aba Road Campaign Office in Umuahia of the Abia PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, as his campaign staff “ambushed” him with a surprise birthday celebration.

Dr. Anosike, who had just returned from a trip to Abuja, was visibly surprised by the gesture. He admitted that he usually marks his birthday quietly and privately, and thanked the staff for the show of love.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Anosike said his vision is to run a welfarist administration that will spread happiness across Abia State, just like the atmosphere at the birthday celebration.

“I will work to improve the welfare of Abians and make the people happy. Anyone who is not working for the welfare of the people has no reason to be in government. The people are the reason for any government because the whole essence of government is the people. Without the people, there is no government,” he said.

He assured the staff that their labour will not be in vain, declaring that the PDP is now well positioned to retake Government House.

“PDP has roared back in Abia,” he said confidently.

Anosike reiterated his call for issue-based campaigns devoid of attacks, hatred and insults, stressing that he is not promising what he cannot deliver and is not indulging in political rhetoric.

He thanked the staff for their love and deep commitment to his ambition as shown in their sacrifices, and promised them adequate reward when he makes it to Government House next year.

“I thank my campaign staff for the privilege of celebrating my birthday this year and by the grace of God, we will be doing this next year in Government House,” he said.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of PDP and Deputy Governorship Candidate, Elder Amah Abraham, said the party is on its way to recovering power and taking over Government House with a “good product” in Dr. Anosike. He prayed for his good health and victory at the polls.

The celebration reached its climax with the cutting of the birthday cake and rendition of the birthday song, leaving everyone filled with joy.
