Abia Police Commissioner Calls For Better Civil Relations By Officer

The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Danladi Isa has charged officers and men of the force by their duties to act as Public Relations Officers as well create positive image within their sphere of contacts.

The police boss gave the charge on Monday in his office in Umuahia when the national leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), led by the National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyi, paid him a courtesy visit.

CP Isa appreciated the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti for his continued support to the Command, noting that the Command has sustained robust collaboration with the state government, relevant stakeholders including the PCRC, sister security agencies and the public.

He also commended the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, for his visionary leadership in crime-fighting strategies and mentorship which has led to many successful operational achievements nationwide.

CP Isa reiterated the Command’s commitment to eradicating unprofessional practices within the system and to building a crop of officers who are professionally competent, rule-of-law compliant, people-friendly and dedicated to the constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property.

The police chief commended the PCRC team for their dedication, hard work, and partnership with the police from the national down to the state level.

On his part, the National Chairman of PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyi appreciated the Police Commissioner for his remarkable strides in the fight against crime and criminality, and for his commitment to ensuring professionalism among officers of the Command in the discharge of their duties across Abia State.
