“Don’t Listen To Critics, Focus On Your Developmental Agenda For Ndi Abia”, Prof Okoro tells Gov. Otti

Following the recent outburst between the Abia State government and some opposition party members in the state, the Rector of Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Prof. Christopher Kalu Okoro has urged Governor Alex Otti of Abia State to ignore the tantrums thrown by former political office holders and opposition members in the state and channel his energy in developing the state.

Prof Okoro who spoke to journalists on the sideline of the grand Civic Reception organized by Ukwa La Ngwa bloc in honour of the state governor, Dr Alex Otti on Friday, January 30, 2026 inside the main bowels of the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, said encouraged the governor to focus on his developmental agenda for the state and ignore critics who claimed his administration is not performing to their own esteem.

According to the Rector, the Mammoth crowd of Abians and residents that turned out at the reception was a clear indication that the governor’s performance is widely appreciated across the state.

‎“A non-performing government cannot attract the kind of goodwill and support we are witnessing today,” Prof. Okoro stated.

Prof Okoro described Governor Otti as a purposeful leader of excellence, emphasizing that the governor deserves a broad public support to enable him to complete his transformation mission in Abia State.

He commended the Ukwa la Ngwa Aba Union for honouring the governor and recognizing him as a worthy son of the soil, while pledging continued support for his administration and future political aspirations.
