“The Charged Political Atmosphere In Abia Is Confusing People” — Chief Henry Ikoh

An APC Chieftain in Abia State, Chief Henry Ikoh has charged the party faithful to remain steadfast and not be muddled by the “super charged” political atmosphere in the state as a result of the activities of political gladiators, ahead of the 2027 elections.

Chief Ikoh gave the charge on Wednesday while interacting with newsmen.

He encouraged supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress APC to remain resolute in their support for President Bola Tinubu to steer the country and the economy to a safe plain.

He reminded them that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president is beginning to yield fruits, adding the it would soon reflect on the lives of the common man.

His remark is coming on the heels of the political banter among top politicians in the state, making the polity, highly saturated. He opined that the verbal exchange is not necessary and advocated for discontinuation.

“The banter among top politicians in Abia recently has really charged the political atmosphere of the state. A lot of our people are now anxious, not knowing the direction to go.”

“People can easily get confused by some of this activities. In their minds, they will be asking questions that nobody is ready to provide answers to.”

“People are wondering who will contest and who will not contest. But I ask our members and supporters to focus on supporting the party and the president.”

“The Renewed Hope Agenda of the President is beginning to yield fruits. The price of a bag of rice has come from N120,000 to about N80,000 or N70,000. Soon it will reflect on the lives of the common man. That is what we are looking for.”

Speaking further, the former Minister for Science and Technology warned politicians to desist from unhealthy verbal wars and focus on developing their constituencies and zones.

He therefore called on party loyalists to direct their energy towards garnering more support for the party without needless arguments and confrontations.
