Dr Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Poly Rector Hails Otti’s Safety Initiative

The Rector of Dr Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Dr Ogbonnaya Okoro, has retreated his admiration for Governor Alex Otti of Abia State and his governance in the state, describing the Governor as an excellent “example of leadership”.

Dr Okoro stated this in Aba while speaking to newsmen during an inspection tour of the construction of a pedestrian bridge at the school’s main gate.

Dr Okoro who was visibly elated expressed satisfaction on the quality of the work done so far on the bridge.

He posited that the bridge will in no small measure reduce the number of road accidents involving pedestrians on the road.

“This pedestrian bridge will help to reduce the frequent accidents that have continued to endanger the lives of our students. The security and welfare of our students is very important to us, and we will do everything possible to ensure that all of them remain safe.”

He appreciated Governor Otti for the initiative and for prioritizing the safety and welfare of students and the public, noting that the project was initiated by the governor after reviewing the safety situation at the institution’s entrance.

“I am very impressed by the quality of work being done here. It is also worth noting that there has never been any issue we presented to the governor that he did not address. This is a clear demonstration of his commitment to education and the protection of lives.”
