Abia Former Head Of Service Distances Self From “Fake” Facebook Account

The Former Head of Service of Abia State, Mrs Joy Maduka has distanced herself from a fake Facebook account bearing her name, used by disgruntled elements to spread malicious and false statements about the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti.

Mrs Maduka made this known in a press statement made available to Dreamnews on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 which she personally signed.

According to the statement, Mrs Maduka categorically denied any involvement in such activities and strongly condemned such malicious acts.

She urged the public to disregard the account and its content and as well exercise caution and verify information before accepting it as true.

The statement reads in part, “I Mrs Joy Maduka have been made aware of a fake Facebook account impersonating my good name. The account is being used to spread malicious and false statements about Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.”

“I categorically deny any involvement in such activities and strongly condemn this malicious act. The individual behind this impersonation will face the full weight of the law.”
