“I Draw My Inspiration From Governor Otti” — Dr C.K. Okoro
The Rector of Dr Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic Aba, Dr. Christopher Kalu Okoro has hinged his sterling performance since he took over the mantle of leadership at the institution on the inspiration drawn from the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti.
In a chat with Dreamnews reporter in his office, Dr Okoro, while reacting to the recent “Award of Honorary Fellowship of Environmental Genius” by the Nigerian Environmental Society appreciated the governor for the transformation that has enveloped the state in last two years.

Dr Okoro said he is highly powered by what the governor is doing in the state and that the best way to appreciate it is by doing well in his own capacity.
“I will say that my energy comes from the governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti. He is my inspiration everyday.”
“Every time I look at what the governor is doing, I just say to myself that the best way to appreciate him is by giving my best in my own capacity.”
“You can attest to the transformation the state has witnessed in the last two years. It is unprecedented. We have never had it this good in this state before.”
The Rector recounted some of the milestones achieved by the institution under his stewardship, ranging from accreditation for new courses, to infrastructure, among other things.
The Abam Onyerubi born Engineer said all those were achieved as his own little way of saying “thank you” to Governor Alex Otti.
“Here in the school, we have been able to achieve a lot since I took over. We have received approval for new courses, we have paid sacked workers their dues, we have been able to stop issuance of statement of results, students now get their certificates as soon as they graduate, we have developed new hostels, look that pedestrian bridge there, work is going on.”
“There are so many things, do you know that those ASEPA receptacles were produced here in this school? So what I’m saying is that the only way to appreciate our dynamic governor, Dr Alex Otti is to do more, to complement his efforts in transforming the state.”
He called on Abians to continue to support the government of the day, led by Dr Alex Otti as he continues to develop the state.
