Again, Henry Ikoh Distributes Free Petrol To Keke Operators In Umuahia

A popular Abia born Philanthropist and industrialist, Chief Henry Ikoh through his Ozurumba Movement has once again reached out to tricycle operators in Umuahia, the Abia State capital by giving out another round of petrol, free of charge.

The petrol giveaway which took place on Friday, October 3 , 2025, at Superlative Winners Filling Station Aba Road Umuahia witnessed a huge number of tricycle (Keke) operators queue up to benefit from the kind gesture.

Speaking to Dreamnews during the free petrol distribution, one of the beneficiaries, Henry Ndubuisi Eke was full of gratitude to Chief Ikoh. According to him, this was the first time he would benefit from such kind gestures.

“Honestly, I’m very happy to be part of this. I have always heard of people getting free fuel and today is my first time and I’m very grateful. I pray that God will make his source, a fountain that never runs dry.”

For Okechukwu Samson, who could not hide his emotions said he never expected it. He only pulled up for a passenger to alight when another Keke rider told him about it.

“I was not expecting it. I just came to drop my passenger and continue with my work. Then that guy (points at another rider) told me to come and get fuel for free. I thought he was joking but now, I know it is real. I have gotten my own. All I will say is that God will bless Chief Henry Ikoh.”

Chukwudi Okpara, another beneficiary extolled the virtues of Chief Ikoh. He noted that Abia has many wealthy people but none of them has done that kind of giveaway. He said most Empowerment Programmes do not mostly benefit the Keke riders. For him, Keke operators are not always considered but this he said has put a smile on his face.

Speaking with Dreamnews, the Coordinator of the Ozurumba Movement, Umuahia Chapter, Hon. Dr Paul said the giveaway will be happening every month in Umuahia.

He said the aim is to assist the down troden who are facing serious challenges daily to make ends meet.

“What is happening here today is the distribution of petrol, free of charge to Keke operators, courtesy of Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, Ozurumba himself.”

“What you are witnessing here is the one for the month of October. It will happen here every month. You can see the line, they are getting the fuel. It is no longer news, it is happening here now.”

“It is a way that Chief Ikoh is giving back to society”, he concluded.
