GOVERNOR OTTI: THE JINX BREAKER OF ABIA-THE ABIA PATRIOTS

Umuahia, Abia State – The Abia Patriots, a prominent civil society organization, has commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration for its remarkable achievements in transforming the state’s economy, infrastructure, healthcare, and education sectors, calling him the jinx breaker of Abia in the process.

In a press statement signed by Secretary General Mazi Adindu Madumere, the group dispassionately highlighted the governor’s commitment to delivering results-driven governance. “Governor Otti has prioritized infrastructure development, and the results are evident. The iconic Omenuko Bridge, which was first constructed in 1955 but later became a symbol of neglect, has been reconstructed, connecting communities and boosting trade,” the statement read.

– Infrastructure Revolution: At the last count, over 140 roads have been constructed or rehabilitated, including rural ring roads, opening up isolated communities.
– Healthcare Renaissance: 20 new healthcare facilities constructed, 200 rehabilitated, improving access to quality healthcare.
– Education Boost: 500 new classrooms constructed, 200 rehabilitated, enhancing education quality.
– Economic Growth: Abia’s economy has witnessed a 10% GDP growth and an 8% reduction in poverty rates.

TAP has issued a challenge to subsequent contenders for the position of Abia Governor, urging them to take note of the minimum benchmark set by Governor Otti and introspect on whether they possess sufficient ability to achieve more. “The standards set by Governor Otti in different sectors are clear; the race for Abia number one seat cannot be business as usual, and a game for all comers. Aspiring leaders must be prepared to match or surpass these achievements,” the statement warned.

The Abia Patriots’ commendation culminates in christening Governor Otti as the “Jinx Breaker of Abia”, a title earned through his administration’s relentless efforts in shattering decades-old challenges.
