I’M CELEBRATING GOD’S GRACE AND GLORY – REV. OMAEGBU AT 70 … *Friends, Leaders, Faithful Gather to honour Koinonia GO
The quiet town of Aggah in Egbema, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, is aglow today as family, friends and well-wishers converge to celebrate Rev. Dr. J.C. Omaegbu, popularly known as OJC, on his 70th birthday.
The Founder and General Overseer of Koinonia International Ministries clocks 70 today, Saturday, July 25, 2026, and his country home has been thrown open to “everybody that is anybody” for a day of thanksgiving and joy.
To many, OJC’s milestone is nothing short of a miracle. A man of God, businessman, community leader and politician, he survived early-life travails that made even his closest allies doubt he would see 60.
“I feel great clocking 70 years on earth,” the celebrant told newsmen this morning. “Those who knew my travails never gave me the chance of living to be 60. Some even boasted they would kill me. But God gave me life. He alone deserves all the praise,” he said.
The soft-spoken cleric said the celebration is all about God’s grace. “Longevity comes from the Creator. With long life will I satisfy you. That is why I’m celebrating grace and glory,” he stressed.
Rev. Omaegbu used the moment to preach peace. “No human being qualifies to take another’s life. God is the ultimate giver of life, and He alone should be the one to take it,” he counseled.
His advice to those who desire long life is simple: “Believe in God and trust Him with all your heart. When you do, He will give you the desires of your heart.”
The atmosphere in Aggah is already festive, with visitors trooping in from far and near to honour the enigma whose life story continues to inspire generations.
According to the celebrant, the gate is open to all. “Come, let us celebrate God’s faithfulness together,” he said.
The birthday celebration will climax tomorrow, Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a Thanksgiving Service at the Aggah International Headquarters of Koinonia Ministries.
Happy 70th, OJC!_
