Police Probes Attack On Anambra Guber Candidate

Following the attack on the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the forthcoming Anambra State election, Jude Ezenwafor, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has launched full investigation into the incident.

Recall that Ezenwafor survived an assassination attempt in Abuja on Friday night when gunmen suspected to be assassins attacked and shot him.

He was later admitted in an undisclosed private hospital in the nation’s capital for medical treatment. Reports say the November 8th Guber candidate in Anambra State is currently battling for life.

Speaking on the development, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command has launched an investigation into the incident.

She also said the true position and situation surrounding the incident cannot be ascertained at the moment.
