“Our people are very proud of you, Abam votes will go to his Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti” — Ike Abam Assures Governor Otti

The good people of Abam Onyerubi have thrown their weight behind the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti over the massive infrastructural impact of the present administration in the state being witnessed in the area.

They made their position known on Friday February 13, 2026 during a Grand Civic Reception organized by Ndi Abam Onyerubi in honour of Governor Alex Otti.

The event, which was heralded by the commissioning of the newly constructed iconic Omenuko bridge and the Abam-Arochukwu road by Dr Alex Otti.

Speaking at the reception which took place at Abam High School, Ozu Abam, an illustrious son of Abam Onyerubi, Chief James Ume Kalu, popularly known as Ike Abam appreciated Governor Otti for his visionary leadership and numerous signature projects cited within Abam axis and the appointment of Abam indegenes into key positions in the state.

Chief Ume Kalu who is also the founder of Unubiko Foundation assured the governor of massive support in his reelection bid through massive votes from Abam and the entire Arochukwu local government area.

Ike Abam recounted the voting strength of Abam Onyerubi, saying it remains the highest in Arochukwu local government area, which on the behalf of the people pledged it would go to Dr Alex Otti, come 2027 election.

“Our people are very proud of you. This election that is coming is our own and this is where you have the highest number of votes in Arochukwu local government.”

“Before now, Abam votes, before you take it to the collation center at Arochukwu local government headquarters, it took time and things may change, but now, in less than five minutes, you are at the collation center. I assure you that this time, the votes will remain as voted”.

“Once more, I assure you that the Abam votes will go to his Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti”.

Chief Ume Kalu used the medium to announce a donation of five hundred million naira (N500,00000,000) by the people of Abam Onyerubi to support the governor for 2027 elections.
